Apple: batteriprestandan varierar bara 2-3 procent

Evertiq har tidigare rapporterat om skillnaderna i prestanda mellan de nya A9 chippen som anvÀnds i Apple's nya iPhone 6s. Beroende pÄ frÄn vilken tillverkare chippet kommer ifrÄn, kan din telefon uppleva sÀmre batteriprestanda.
Analysföretaget Chipworks har bekrÀftat att Apple anvÀnda tvÄ olika processorleverantörer för Apple A9, samt att det var en skillnad i storlek beroende pÄ om din telefon innehöll en processor frÄn TSMC eller Samsung. Vad som senare uppdagades var att beroende pÄ vilken processor telefonen har sÄ kommer det att finnas en skillnad i batteritid.

Apple har nu svarat pÄ rapporteringen via ett uttalande till sajten TechCruch, dÀr de menar att företagets egna data pekar pÄ att den verkliga skillnaden i batteritid endast skiljer sig mellan 2-3 procent. Apple fulla uttalande följer nedan:

Certain manufactured lab tests which run the processors with a continuous heavy workload until the battery depletes are not representative of real-world usage, since they spend an unrealistic amount of time at the highest CPU performance state. It’s a misleading way to measure real-world battery life. Our testing and customer data show the actual battery life of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, even taking into account variable component differences, vary within just 2-3% of each other.
